Night
WGarth Callaghan
It's almost 9:30, and there is not a heck of a lot to do. It's about 50 degrees and falling. Most of us are getting wrapped up for the night.
If I don't fall asleep soon, I'll take the time to write up a post.
Sleep well!!

The guys at the end of the line are a bit distressed at the moment. Rumor has it that the store will, in fact, have 25 units to sell, but they are planning on holding back 3 or 4 and they are not being sold. This is a 3rd party rumor, and I did not hear it directly. The reason given was that the store wanted to be able to accommodate return issues if any of the original units were defective.
Oddly enough, 19 out of the first 20 people in line are planning on eBaying their products.
We're still number 6 in line, so we'll be getting on, as long as we don't accidentally sleep in!
It is really cold now, and will continue to get colder. My laptop battery is out of power, and the nice people inside of Circuit City are letting me charge it inside. I am using someone else's PC to post temporarily.
If you have not seen our digg.com, please go there and 'digg' the story.

We've 'finalized' the list. According to the store personnel, we have 25 people in line and 25 units to purchase. There was one poor guy that came by earlier and put his name on the list. He has missed two role calls. We struck his name from the list. Too bad, but congrats to the 26th person in line who now will be able to get one.
I'll talk a little bit about Children's Inc on my next post. They are a great charity, worthy of a PS3!!
Some local reps from Red Bull came by. They passed out samples for us.
THANK YOU RED BULL!
It gets dark early now. That's something that I miss while I am working. The sun is setting and it is starting to cool down. Cold and wet, what a good combination for the long night ahead.
My wife was kind enough to bring us homemade cookies last night . . . Honey, are you reading this?
We're all settling in already, and many of the poeple in line have made plans to go to sleep around 8 PM. I really want to watch "The Office." I wonder if Circuit City will let me in to watch.
I have had quite a few requests for links back to our main site:
The update for 11/16/06:

The ugly, the bad, and the good.
The Ugly
The weather has been utterly awful. We're wet, and have little chance of drying out. On top of that, no one inside of Circuit City seems to be communicating "the plan." We have heard so many rumors about what will happen tomorrow morning, and no one is sure what is true. Will there be vouchers? Are they just going to throw open the doors and let it be a free-for-all? Most everyone has been here for over 24 hours. We're all very concerned about line jumpers. I won't post the language that is used when the group starts talking about someone potentially cutting the line.
The Bad
We are all pretty wet, as the rain has been heavy, and we have little hope of drying out. Even now, I am typing on my laptop through a rain poncho. Sleeping on wet things tonight will be fun!
The Good
All of the people in line are cool. We're self-policing the line, and as long as we don't miss a roll call, we can leave for brief breaks. Someone brought a grill, which would have been nice if it weren't raining so hard. There were a few card games happening and some guys were playing Risk. A few guys listened to iPods and there was more than one PSP (PlayStation Portable) being used. I have no idea what we'll be doing for the next fifteen hours.
I sent an email to a VP at Circuit City and asked if it made sense to keep the store open to midnight instead of makng us wait an extra 8 hours. Wouldn't that be great customer service?
There has been no response.
